inFocus conducts independent, external evaluations to facilitate learning and to support accountability. We have conducted evaluations of highly complex projects, programmes and organisations for various clients, both in the Sport for Development and wider international development sector.

Our Evaluation Services

We offer a range of evaluation services for delivery agencies, funders, policymakers and networks. You can find out more about our range of evaluation services by speaking to one of our specialists. Below we outline the range of evaluation approaches, with which we have experience:

Theory Based

Applied Research

inFocus executes specific applied research projects on various topics such as Sport for Development, social impact measurement, and strategies for scaling impact. Our findings are designed to be implementable and timely. For example, in Shaping the Sport for Development Agenda post-2015, we propose a well-informed, strategic framework for scaling-up the social impact achieved through the Sport for Development field.

Our Communities of Practice (CoP) bring together organisations that work directly with beneficiaries in particular thematic areas (e.g. gender, disability) with evaluation and research experts specialising in the focal area. In these workshops, common challenges and solutions are shared, common indicators, outcomes and tools discussed and defined, with best practices to achieve these outcomes identified and documented. The map below shows how our currently active Learning Communities are developed along thematic lines and classified by their global, regional or local geographic focus.
