How to write effective reports for a donor

Overview

Did you ever wonder about the importance of the why and how of impact reports? Writing impact reports is an important skill for every NGO around the world for accountability back to donors, to drive fundraising results and to tell your story to a wider audience.

For funders and foundations, assessing the quality of reports submitted by the recipients of grants is crucial to making decisions about whether to renew funding and help determine if funds are being used efficiently and effectively.

In this second of our series of 90 minute webinars with a focus upon fundraising and M&E, we explore both how to write and assess impact reports for donors, covering the following topics:

An introduction to writing reports (formats, audience, design, before you start)

Using reports to tell the right story to the right audience

10 quality criteria for impact reports

           Structuring impact reports

5 top tips for writing effective reports

The webinar will be hosted by inFocus CEO, Dr Damian Hatton, who will be joined by our special guest and President of MCG Consulting Group, TJ McGovern.
