Sports Unites Case study: ‘Cycling Hornbeam’

We’re delighted to share our case study on Sports Unites grantee the Hornbeam Centre and its community sports project ‘Cycling Hornbeam’.
‘Cycling Hornbeam’ was broken into the following strands: getting more women and men from the Muslim community involved in cycling, and ‘Good Deeds on Bikes’; a volunteer scheme which collects and delivers surplus food from local suppliers and distributes it to other third sector organisations and to individuals to those who need it, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Our case study outlines the outcomes of this project and aims to inform the future direction of the Sports Unites investment programme by the Mayor of London, whilst also offering insight to other community sport organisations running similar activities.
