A bit about Graham

Originally trained as a Physical Education teacher, Graham has over 10 years of experience research and evaluation and 15 years working in teacher training, sport management and the sport for development and peace at the University of Brighton  His specialist area of expertise in sport for development and peace comes from his long-standing engagement with Football 4 Peace International where he was previously as Head of Operations.  He was responsible for the evaluation of the programme of work across several countries: England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Germany, Colombia, South Korea, The Gambia, Jordan and Israel. For inFocus, he has project managed and lead the evaluation team for several projects in the UK and abroad where he has designed and delivered complex multi-year evaluations in a range of topics

IMM Experience

For his own programmes across the world, including developing contexts and for clients, Graham has developed evaluation frameworks and data collection tools, as well as trained local staff in M&E to collect and report on their projects. He has extensive experience in developing creative data collection tools in order to collect data from vulnerable youth and adults such as drawing based and role play collection methods.

Graham joined the inFocus team in 2019 as a Senior Evaluation and Learning Consultant, having spent the previous 12 months working at the Olympic Study Centre, Johannesburg, where he managed a nationwide research project across South Africa on the Quality of Physical Education and School Sport.  This was in partnership with the South Africa Universities’ Physical Education Association (SAUPEA), the Department for Basic Education (DBE) and funded by UNICEF.  He is currently nearing completion of his Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Johannesburg (Faculty of Health Sciences).
