A bit about Robert

Robert has substantive experience in project management, research, leading development projects for young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) and those from poor challenging socio -economic backgrounds. conducting impact evaluations and training in the public and third sector. Of particular interest to me are social interventions focused especially on youth development, education, transitions into work, employability skills, human rights, health and wellbeing.

Experience and qualifications

In addition to over 13 years’ experience working in the third sector, supporting employability and youth development focused projects, mainly funded by the European Social Fund, Robert also has advanced research skills. He has led on impact evaluation for over 7 years, mainly within England and Wales. As part of contributing to learning communities, Robert has delivered IMM training, including in Spain. Within IMM, the development of Theories of Change, drawing on participatory methods, is a key IMM area of particular strength.

Robert values working collaboratively and is consistently striving to effectively manage and deliver on stakeholder expectations, to high standards. Robert holds BSc (Hons) International Studies, an MSc in NGO & Development Management. He is also completing a Management Doctorate at the University of Leicester’s Business School. His research is focused on understanding the impact of social prescribing on the transitions to work of young people from Black Ethnic Minority Backgrounds (BAME) who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) into employment and the associated health and wellbeing outcomes.
