Tdh Kenya Strategic Planning Workshops 

Strategic Planning Overview:

We are undertaking a Strategic planning exercise for Tdh Kenya, which is designed to help Tdh Kenya to first identify its’ programmatic priorities given the changing context in Kenya, as well as its’ key strategies to pursue over the coming period 2021- 24. inFocus Consulting are leading a series of six workshops as part of the Tdh Kenya strategic planning process. Each workshop day is broken down into two sessions (10am-12pm EAT and 1pm-3pm EAT).

Day 2: Workshop – Child and Maternal Health Programmatic Priorities

Objectives:

    1. 1.   Provide an introduction to Tdh’s Child and Maternal Health Programme and the different areas of health intervention that could be applied within Kenyan context, to improve the lives of children, young people and their families.
    2. 2.   Consider the health situation in Kenya and what opportunities for Health programme development currently exist.
    3. 3.   Discuss the factors influencing Health programme choices in Kenya and identify and prioritise Year 1 ‘entry points’ for the Health Programme, that build upon existing programming in Kenya.

Day 3: Workshop – (01/07/21) – Justice Programme and Transversal Child Protection Priorities

Objectives:

Session 1:

  1. 1.   Provide an introduction to Tdh’s Access to Justice Programme (Theory of Change) and the different areas of intervention related to the A2J programme.
  2. 2.   Outline the Justice situation in Kenya and the context for new programme development.
  3. 3.   Collectively explore the needs in Kenya when it comes to Justice for children and young people.

Session 2:

 

  1. 1. Provide an introduction to Tdh’s Transversal Child Protection work and the different themes that are considered to be transversal and similarly, the different methodological approaches that are considered to be transversal. 
  2. 2.   Outline the situation in Kenya in relation to the main Child Protection themes and what opportunities exist for integration of the themes and methodologies into Tdh Kenyas programmes.
  3. 3.   Discuss the factors influencing the choices of which Child Protection themes/ methodologies to focus upon in Kenya and identify Year 1 ‘entry points’ for integrating the themes/ methodologies into programming in Kenya.
