Associate Recruitment: Eastern and Western Africa

We’re looking for talented and passionate independent evaluators, data collectors, analysts and consultants across the Eastern Africa (including the Horn of Africa) and Western Africa to join our inFocus Associate scheme. 

 

Our associate model enables us to join forces to make a greater difference in the world: ensuring our services are relevant and deliverable in different local contexts  through supporting with data collection tool development and translation, on-the-ground data collection and providing contextual insight and expertise.

We are hoping to hear from:

  • –   Data collectors and analysts  
  • –   Evaluators  
  • –   M&E consultants  
  • –   Subject matter experts on the following thematic areas: livelihoods, migration, gender (including sexual and reproductive health; gender based violence; gender parity and equity)

Person Specification for Eastern and Western Africa-based Associates

  • –    Prior experience of working in Eastern and Western Africa 
  • –    Degree in Social/Political Sciences, Research, Evaluation, International Development or similar/related field  
  • –   At least 5 years’ experience in research and evaluation including demonstrable skills in qualitative and quantitative analysis (experience in participatory and creative data collection methods is desirable) 
  • –   Specialism in one or more of the following areas: conflict, sexual and reproductive health, identity-based violence/exclusion (including gender), migration, community development, youth engagement, humanitarian /emergency response, advocacy and public policy 
  • –   Availability for travel (within the region) – in accordance with COVID –19 guidelines/legislation
